The Effect of the 21st century on Musicians
Welcome!
Anyone can tell you how the Internet has helped them listen to, buy, or find music, but how did we get to this point? When, and why, did musicians discover the Internet? It has simply become so commonplace for a band to have their own website or MySpace page, that we often overlook just what has gone into this digital music revolution.
While the majority of research presented regarding music online focuses on the listener (i.e. illegal file-sharing), this website is aimed at discussing how musicians have been effected by the rise of technology and the Internet.
My name is Patricia Krimmer, and this is a project for my Scripps College Core III Class, Cyberculture. I have included a list of my references, as well as helpful links.
